BIOGRAPHY

Rapist is a thrash/death metal band formed in February 2013 in Piove di Sacco (Padova) and consists of a vocalist, two guitars, bass and drums. Bands like Dark Angel, Slayer, Morbid Saint,Demolition Hammer can be considered as their main influences. Most of the themese and issuesdeal with the Middle ages, inquisition and tortures.

Originally the line-up was made of three founding members: Martino, Matteo and Christian; then,on may 2013, searching to create a more unitary sound, Andrea became part of the band, playing the second guitar. On October, 2013 "..to burn at the stake", the first demo, is released. In May 2014 Christian leaves the band to under take other projects; he is replaced by Angelo at the bass and Alex as main vocalist. On 19 October, 2014, with the new line-up and their first demo, the band takes part as guest to the radio program “Materiale Resistente", to promote theirupcoming work.

In February 2016, the band focuses on the recording of the first self-produced album "Kill for thegrace", which would exactly come to the light one year later, in February 2017. In November 2018 Andrea leaves the band and is replaced by Tommaso, an already militant guitarist in Miscreanceand previously in the Atomic Massacre.

The band, thus recomposed, works on a new demo: "Pillars of deceiving", freely inspired by a novel by Ken Follet "The pillars of the earth". After the demo, in May 2020, Matteo and Angelo leave the band, in which Samuele enters toreplace the drummer, who is a member of Askesis.
